The event on Saturday, October 28 was more than just a barbecue; association members enjoyed the day, with extra plates of food shared by everyone.
Attendees tucked into entrees such as spring rolls cooked at the venue and empanadas — fried pastries filled with various ingredients such as meat, cheese and vegetables.
For mains, members savoured noodles with grilled and baked fish, and for dessert, there was traditional sweet sticky rice, among other delicacies. Free soft drinks and water bottles kept everyone refreshed.
In addition to the delicious food, attendees relished the fresh air and engaged in relaxed conversations. Some stayed late into the afternoon, cherishing the camaraderie, jokes, stories and laughter.
The picnic took place at the back of Aquamoves in Shepparton, which serves as the association’s central meeting place.
This location is ideal, as members come from Shepparton, Euroa, Yarrawonga and the surrounding areas, making it a central spot for everyone to gather and enjoy each other’s company.
