On paper, the eighth-placed Giants (6-5) don't seem to have much to worry about given the Tigers are 16th (3-8), heading into their clash at Engie Stadium.
But Kingsley won't allow his side to be lulled into complacency even after claiming a 28-point win over Carlton, feeling the Giants are still vulnerable given their lack of consistency.
GWS haven't claimed back-to-back wins since round five, having lost three of their last five matches.
Richmond have pulled off upsets this season, defeating Carlton in round one and top-four team Gold Coast in round six.
The Tigers will also welcome back premiership stars Toby Nankervis (managed), Tom Lynch (concussion) and Dion Prestia (achilles).
"The ladder position is different this week and our challenge is to attack this game in the same fashion as what we did in that game (against Carlton)," Kingsley said on Thursday.
"They've (Richmond) got three premiership players coming back in, so they add an enormous amount of experience and stability for them.
"They're all in critical positions for them, so they'll be a lot better on the back of that alone.
"It's a big danger game for us. There's no question about that.
"We think they've been progressing well ... They've been in two of the last three games right to the end, so they're capable given the opportunity."
Eye-catching small forward Darcy Jones has also given his side an extra boost, re-signing on a two-year deal to stay until at least the end of 2028.
It comes as fringe defender Leek Aleer weighs up offers from rival interstate clubs, given the Giants have no shortage of talented talls with Jack Buckley and Sam Taylor.
The 23-year-old played his first game of the season against Carlton, having only played in eight last year.
"Leek was playing on small players last week and looked really good," Kingsley said.
"Not only in defending his direct opponent, but also supporting every contest around him ... so that gave us a real bit of confidence that they can all play together.
"I don't spend a lot of time on (contract negotiations). I focus on making our team as good as it can be.
"And we've gone the way of Leek's part of that team right at this moment and hopefully into the future, beyond this year."
Veteran midfielder Josh Kelly will make his return from a hip injury, while Kingsley is hopeful small forward Brent Daniels (abdominal) is just one week away.
"I would expect (Daniels) back in for Port Adelaide," Kingsley said.
"We may be a little bit more cautious given his history of soft tissue over the last few years, which would mean he'd definitely be back for the Brisbane game."
