Coach Graham Arnold has made five changes to his starting line-up for the crucial group-stage match.
Australia can seal top spot in group B with a win or draw at Al Janoub Stadium from 10.30pm Tuesday AEDT, but a loss would mean finishing second.
Duke will miss at least one match with a hamstring injury suffered against Syria, with Yengi, Fornaroli and uncapped John Iredale all vying for his spot.
Fornaroli, 36, had loomed as favourite given his impressive form off the bench but will now hope to make an impact as a substitute again.
The 25-year-old Yengi gets a golden chance to lead the line and chase his first Socceroos goal in his first start.

As flagged by Arnold, attacking midfielder Riley McGree will make his first start of the tournament after two impressive performances off the bench on returning from a foot injury and will replace Connor Metcalfe.
Keanu Baccus comes back in a holding midfield role for Aiden O'Neill while Kye Rowles replaces Cameron Burgess at centre-back.
Arnold has called upon Nathaniel Atkinson to replace Gethin Jones at right-back, potentially seeking more run and attacking drive down that flank.
Jones, goalkeeper Joe Gauci and Duke are the three players not named in the 23-man match-day squad.
