Greek soccer match abandoned after player hit by flare

The match was suspended for almost two hours before being abandoned with the score at 1-1.

"Juankar is injured on the ground. Interruption in play. Our team retreats to the dressing room," Panathinaikos posted on social media.

According to a report by Greek news outlet Protothema, a doctor found no external injuries on Juankar, but Panathinaikos insisted the 33-year-old defender undergo further examinations amid fears of an ear injury.

He was taken to hospital, Greek sports radio reported.
