The Storm travel to face Cronulla on home turf on Saturday looking to crack their first win in the Shire since 2017, with the two teams etching out a fierce rivalry over the past 10 years.
Melbourne skipper Harry Grant is set to return from a month on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury, also giving the Queensland State of Origin side a boost ahead of the team naming.
"We'll see how he goes today, he got through most of what he needed to get through on Thursday so hopefully he will be OK but we're not going to take any chances," Bellamy said of Grant.
The master coach wasn't interested in talking about the combative nature of their recent matches, peaking when Origin captains Paul Gallen and Cameron Smith went head to head before their retirement.
"I don't take too much into rivalries, I just worry about who we're playing this week and prepare the best we can," Bellamy said.
"I know we haven't won there in the while but at the end of the day that's in the past so we'll just worry about this week."
Despite the Sharks sitting fifth on the ladder, two points behind Melbourne, they have little premiership buzz but Bellamy rated their opponents as a danger side.
"We know they're a good side ... when we play them it's always a tough battle," he said.
"They've got good individuals but they also play really well as a team and I think that's their big strength to be honest."
With wet conditions expected for the night clash, the Storm will have to buck their season trend to win.
They've won four from five matches played during the day in 2025, posting an incredible average score of 43.6.
At night they are just two from four and, while it's still impressive across the competition, only average 26 points per game.
But Bellamy blamed the conditions more than his team's performance for the anomaly.
"If we play here (Melbourne) or we play in Canberra, the ball's going to be a bit slippery," he said.
"That's just the way it is and on a dry afternoon you're going to score more points, both teams, than when you play at night and the temperature drops and it gets slippery.
"It is what it is so you just adapt your tactics and what you need to do in the weather conditions."
