Unhappy at the Dragons and set to join the Eels on a four-year deal worth close to $2.6 million from next season, Lomax was again St George Illawarra's best at Campbelltown on Sunday.
The 24-year-old scored the opening try and had a hand in another, as the hot-and-cold Dragons breathed fire again.
Lomax has spent this season adamant he wants to be a centre, and was granted a release from the final two years of his contract last month.
The Temora junior is every chance of briefly getting his wish against the Warriors on Friday night, with Dragons centre Jack Bird suffering a concussion in the win.
But while he could fill in for Bird at right centre next week, he continues to star on the wing in 2024.
He scored his fifth try of the season when he finished off a right-edge movement in the second minute of the game.
The winger also claimed two leaping marks above his head, with his first stunning take of a Ben Hunt bomb helping send Kyle Flanagan over for a try and a 16-6 halftime lead.

The Dragons have quickly emerged as the most inconsistent team in the NRL this year, but in western Sydney their attack was on song.
Two offloads were thrown in the lead up to a Bird try in the first half, and another two thrown before a Jaydn Su'A four-pointer in the second half that put the game beyond doubt.
Off-contract at the end of this year and in negotiations with the Dragons about an extension, Su'A has played some of his best football in recent weeks.
For the Tigers, this was their lowest performance since their first-up defeat to Canberra last month.
The hosts' made too many early-set errors, and gave away nine penalties to make life easy for the visitors at a sold-out Campbelltown.
One of their few high points coming when Api Koroisau fooled the defence and put Stefano Utoikamanu over in the first half, and Asu Kepaoa also scored late for Tigers.
But the next two minutes after Kepaoa's try summed up a frustrating day for the Tigers, who had given themselves the faintest of hopes with eight minutes to play.
From the kick off they finally found some momentum and went down field, only for a poor Aidan Sezer kick to be marked in goal by Lomax.
Lomax then threatened to break down field from the 20-metre tap, and was only stopped by a David Klemmer high shot.
Klemmer could face some scrutiny for that hit and another high tackle on Flanagan, which gifted the Dragons a penalty goal earlier in the second half.
