A local junior, Lawrie has played his entire 103-game NRL career with the Dragons and featured in every game last season, usually starting in the front row.
Lawrie memorably scored his first NRL try against Canterbury in round 12 after being one of the most-experienced active players who had yet to cross the line.
The 26-year-old is one of only four players who featured in the Dragons' last finals appearance in 2018 to remain at the club.
Lawrie's re-signing helps bolster a forward pack that lost Tariq Sims, George Burgess, Jack Gosiewski and Josh McGuire at the end of last season.
"We're building something nice this year and there was no other choice in my mind but to stay at the Dragons," Lawrie said in a statement.
"It's a great outcome for myself and my family."
Elsewhere, the Wests Tigers have signed out-of-favour Bulldogs playmaker Brandon Wakeham on a one-year deal.
Wakeham played four games in 2022 as then-coach Trent Barrett experimented with halves combinations but did not feature after round six, with the club settling on Kyle Flanagan as first-choice halfback.
At the Tigers the Fijian international is set to serve as an injury cover for halves Luke Brooks and Adam Doueihi after losing Jackson Hastings, Jock Madden and Tyrone Peachey in the off-season.
"I think this move will have a positive impact on me and my game," Wakeham said in a statement.
