Marnus Labuschagne has retained his spot ahead of Marcus Stoinis, with the batter playing every game of the tournament after initially being left out of the squad.
India are also unchanged from the team that defeated New Zealand in their semi-final on Wednesday, with Ravichandran Ashwin missing out on selection.
Teams batting first have generally fared well in this World Cup when setting an imposing target, but there is a thought runs are easier to make under lights at Narendra Modi Stadium.
"It looks like a little bit of a dry wicket, and (we'll) back ourselves to chase," Cummins said.
"It's quite dewy at night. It seems like this venue has got better and better to bat. So hopefully it's the same today."
India captain Rohit Sharma said he would have batted first had he won the toss, on a pitch expected to turn and used for the hosts' fixture against Pakistan last month.
The so-far undefeated India comfortably beat Australia in the first week of the tournament in Chennai, in another match where spin played a big part.
A win for Australia on Sunday in front of up to 132,000 local fans will give them a sixth title, three times as many as the next most successful teams in India and West Indies who have two trophies each.
Australia's last title came at home in 2015, while India last claimed the prize in home conditions in 2011.
