The local share market has closed at its highest level in almost four weeks and extended its winning streak to six sessions ahead of a key meeting of the Reserve Bank.

The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index on Monday finished up 45.2 points, or 0.63 per cent, to 7,223 - its highest close since March 9.
The broader All Ordinaries gained 43.1 points, or 0.58 per cent, to 7,416.4.
The market last finished higher for six straight sessions from July 26 to August 2.
Its last seven-session winning streak was a year ago, from March 21 to 30.
The Australian dollar was buying 66.63 US cents, from 67.23 US cents at Friday's ASX close.
