Most businesses have struggled along during the pandemic, some have even blossomed, but pole dancers, social distancing, masks and travel bans left Shepparton's only strip club firmly shut.
Club Rawhide owner Raelene Hardie, who has operated the business for 25 years, said there was no way to keep the doors open.
The business shut in March last year and casual staff including security were all left without income.
“It has been very stressful, we've worked hard to get it going again on the coming long weekend,” Ms Hardie said.
The women who work there are all contractors and travel from Melbourne, so even when regional Victoria opened up, restrictions prevented workers making the trip.
