Both are family companies.
D&S Truck Repairs was founded in 1996 by Don and Sharon Dimstas who have had a long business relationship with CMV Truck & Bus, as a regional agent for parts supply, truck servicing and repairs.
D&S Truck Repairs employs 13 staff, all of whom are being offered employment with CMV Truck & Bus.
“With the long history of the two organisations working so closely together, it really felt as though the transition of ownership to the CMV Group was a natural progression,” Don Dimstas said.
“We are delighted that the CMV Group, a family-owned company with similar values to ourselves, has had the opportunity to acquire the business and continue its growth in the Shepparton area.”
CMV Group chairman David Simmons said the relationship went back to the 1990s.
“We look forward to bringing the D&S Truck Repairs business and their employees into the CMV Group fold and we’re committed to maintaining the strong customer focus enjoyed by D&S Truck Repairs customers in the region,” he said.
CMV Truck & Bus general manager Miles Crawford said the acquisition was a perfect fit for the organisation.
“Over nearly a quarter of a century, Don and Sharon have been outstanding business partners, growing their operation through a continuous focus on customer service, strong communication and business relationships,” he said.
“We look forward to working with Don and Sharon through the transition and supporting all staff and customers moving forward.”
