With the side set to take on the Central Victorian Football League in Bendigo on Sunday, the initial squad will be reduced to a final 23 on Friday, with a jumper presentation pencilled in post-training.
There are plenty of local players represented in the initial team, with six Shepparton United players, seven Nathalia players and five from Tatura all suiting up in the squad.
United’s Ella Hibble, Molly Kennedy, Caitlin Ross, Hannah Scott, Darcie Smith and Ruby Williams are all in the squad, while Nathalia’s Kiara Cooper, Tayla Dempster, Abby Favaro, Marissa Kerr, Caitlyn Price and Tegan Sutton will also be battling it out for a spot in the final 23.
Tatura is also strongly represented in the squad, with Stacey Connally, Hayley Cooke, Tayah Cooke, Sarah Green and Dianne Poole all receiving a call-up and Nathalia’s Alyx Glanville will be both playing and coaching the side.
In a late change to Sunday’s schedule, the NCWL Youth Girls interleague match will no longer be played, with the game being postponed to June 19.
The game between the Northern Country Women’s League and the Central Victorian Football League will kick off at 1.30pm on Sunday at the Queen Elizabeth Oval, Bendigo.
