Walsh launches Red Shield Appeal

Time to give: Victorian Nationals leader and Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh launched the Echuca Moama Red Shield Appeal on Saturday. Salvation Army officer Sonia Edwards and Mr Walsh said there were a variety of ways in which people could help during the month of May. Volunteering with a group is a fantastic way to make a big impact and Echuca Moama people can register their interest in helping raise funds on Saturday, May 28, or Sunday, May 29 — when they can spend two hours going door-to-door collecting donations or man a collection point at Woolworths, Bunnings or another busy public location. Click https://volunteer.salvos.org.au/ to register/login and enter in your availability for a collect point or sign up at Salvos’ Sunday services. A digital doorknock will also continue, which has been a successful component of the event in the past two years. All you need to do is create an online fundraising page as an individual, family or group at https://digitaldoorknock.salvationarmy.org.au/t/shire-salvos. Throughout May people can ask friends, family, and networks to donate to their page. Photo by Steve Huntley
