To celebrate this achievement, home-care clients and staff from REDHS held a morning tea on Tuesday, April 20.
“Our team has been working very hard to increase our service delivery in this space to meet the increasing demands of our local community,” REDHS chief executive officer Karen Laing said.
REDHS community services manager Susannah Hargreaves reflected on the rapid growth and said, “REDHS commenced supporting Home-Care Packages in 2019, and started with just three local clients.
“Since then we have steadily grown and are thrilled to celebrate signing up our 50th client just three years since starting the service.”
50 sign-ups: Home-care clients Glad Larcombe and Jan O'Neill enjoyed their time at the morning tea.

“We have a team of dedicated staff that can work with clients and their families to tailor care and services ranging from personal care, home care, transport, social support, aids and equipment, clinical care, therapy, support and garden maintenance — all of which assist our older community members in retaining their independence and continuing to live at home,” Ms Hargreaves said.
Funded by the Commonwealth Government, REDHS Home-Care Packages are available for people that are 65 years and older, or 50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
