It was the ideal home return for Kyabram on Good Friday, as the Bombers accounted for Rochester with a resounding 21.9 (135) to 12.6 (78) win.

The reigning premier, buoyed by strong home support under lights at Kyabram Recreation Reserve, took control of the game from first bounce with a six-goal-to-two first quarter.

The Bombers were in command from there on, skipping away to a 61-point lead by the break after piling on seven goals in the second term.

A duo of Zacs were ever-present around the contest for Kyabram — with Zachary Keogh and Zachary Norris prolific as always through the middle, Keogh earning himself best-on-ground honours for his efforts.

Thomas Holman was effective across half-back and managed to get on the score sheet, while danger man Kyle Mueller was at his clinical best up forward, kicking six.

The Bombers’ forward line had a good day out with Cooper Vick also getting in on the action with four goals.

The Tigers fought back after half-time with a six-goal third quarter — skipper Steven Stroobants taking the game by the scruff of the neck to finish the day with five majors to his name.

The damage was already done however, the Bombers maintaining an eight-goal buffer through the final term to clinch a dominant win.

The win sees Kyabram go 2-0, with a big Anzac round match-up with an unbeaten Echuca side just around the corner.
