Numurkah was a bowls mecca at the weekend, with the town playing host to multiple events.
Avid bowlers from East Shepparton to Wunghnu filled the greens at Numurkah Bowls Club for the annual JD Galt Memorial Triples.
Meanwhile, the next generation of Goulburn Murray Bowls Region stars battled it out for bragging rights in the 2021-22 Novice Singles finals at Numurkah Golf and Bowls Club.
Action in the 21-up format kicked off with the semi-finals in the morning, followed by the deciders in the afternoon.
In the women’s, it was Numurkah’s Taylor Hills who walked away with the chocolates over Barooga’s Frances Thatcher.
Hills stormed to a 21-15 triumph.
It was a dominant showing in the men’s decider, with Stanhope’s Jono Thorpe blitzing Finley’s Andrew Hill 21-11.
