Earlier VicEmergency notifications had warned people to stay informed about possible severe storms, but that wild weather did not eventuate in Shepparton, with only rain and thunder and lightning occurring.
The Bureau of Meteorology recorded 8.2mm of rain at Shepparton Airport in the 24 hours until 9am Wednesday.
The rain fell between 3.50pm and 8pm, with the majority in the 30 minutes from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
The rainfall added to the 16.8mm Shepparton received between 3.30pm Monday and 3.30am Tuesday.

Up until 9am Wednesday, the Bureau of Meteorology had recorded a total of 31.2mm of rain in the town for February.
Rain had also fallen on another four days, but only between 1mm and 2mm each time.
It is a vast improvement on January though, where a measly 0.6mm of rain fell for the entire month — and that was split over two days.
The last time Shepparton had as much rain as on Monday was on December 21, when there was 23.8mm recorded.
