Two people have been flown to Melbourne hospitals and another three taken to hospital in Shepparton after a crash at Wunghnu on Friday, April 17.
Police said two vehicles crashed on the Goulburn Valley Hwy about 2pm.
The crash occurred between Taylor St and Walters St in the town.
Two air ambulance helicopters landed at the town’s football oval.
Ambulance Victoria confirmed five patients were treated at the scene by two specialist Air Ambulance Victoria helicopter crews, advanced life support and mobile intensive care ambulance (MICA) paramedic crews.
Two people have been airlifted by helicopter and are en route to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, while three people were transported by road ambulance to Goulburn Valley Health.
Emergency services including police, ambulances and SES were on the scene.
The Goulburn Valley Hwy is closed around the crash scene.
