Former Zimbabwean international cricketer Regis Chakabva will speak at the 2025 Echuca-Moama Sportstar awards.
The 2025 Echuca Moama Sportstar awards night is fast approaching, and the event is set to be packed with great sporting stories.

Along with celebrating the achievements of the nominees and crowning the 2025 junior and senior sportstars, coach and Club of the Year and Spirit of Sport winners, the night, on February 19, is also set to feature an all-star panel of sporting names with local connections.
Bamawm-Lockington United cricket captain Regis Chakabva will share experiences from his career playing the sport at the highest level.
Chakabva played 22 Test matches for Zimbabwe, most as wicketkeeper, making one century and five 50s.
Behind the stumps, he took 45 catches and executed five stumpings in his Test career.
He also suited up for 61 One Day Internationals, including another century, as well as 49 Twenty20 Internationals.
Chakabva will be joined on the panel by AFL footballer Marty Hore.

Hore was drafted with pick 56 of the 2018 AFL draft joining Melbourne, after playing his junior football with Leitchville-Gunbower.
The key defender would feature in 14 games in his rookie year and, after being delisted for the 2022 and 2023 seasons, returned to the Demons in 2024.
This season, Hore is beginning a new chapter, returning to the region to sign on with 2025 Goulburn Valley League grand finalist Rochester.
Also joining the panel will be winter Olympian Johanna Lyle.
Lyle is the only female Australian to compete at Olympic level in the snowboard parallel giant slalom, doing so at the Torino 2006 and Vancouver 2010 games.
Lyle competed regularly at world championship level and won a litany of events on home soil and internationally.
Distance runner, coach and podcast host Brady Threlfall will take part in the panel.
The final member of the panel is elite distance runner, coach and podcast host Brady Threlfall.
Threlfall has enjoyed a long career of distance running, winning Victorian marathon titles and competing at some of the biggest running events around the world.
He works as a running coach and is co-host of the Inside Running Podcast discussing the sport.
Threlfall is responsible for a number of running courses in the local area, designing the route for Run Echuca Moama and Sweat vs Steam in 2025 as well as serving as race director for the latter this year.
