A man will face court after refusing to do two breath tests in two days.

A man was picked up by police allegedly drink-driving twice in two days at Strathmerton.

Police were called to Ulupna Bridge Rd after the man had rolled his dual-cab ute, extensively damaging it.

Police said the man allegedly recorded a positive blood alcohol concentration result when breath tested in a preliminary breath test at the scene, but refused to accompany police for an evidentiary breath test.

The following day, while driving a different car, the man was stopped at a police breath testing site on the same road.

Police allege the man recorded a high result in a preliminary breath test, but he again refused to accompany police for an evidentiary breath test.

Police said the man had also been disqualified from driving.

On the second occasion, his car was impounded for 30 days.

A 59-year-old Numurkah man will be charged on summons with two counts of refusing an evidentiary breath test and two counts of disqualified driving, and will face Cobram Magistrates’ Court next year.
