Benalla was up against a tough team in Mooroopna and an icy wind this week, but fought hard and committed all game.
Madeline worked hard to get the ball through two players to Rachael who scored an early goal past the surprised goalie.
Goalie Abbie was kept busy, deflecting 16 certain goals with some hard hits coming through past brother Teddy in full back.
Benalla met Mooroopna’s intensity in the second half, with an explosive run from the centre passed out to Rachel who travelled down the field then across to Madeline who found William in front of goals to score straight up.
Sophie continues to provide strength and endurance in defence and attack, racing the field to get in front of the ball carrier and supporting her team.
Phoenix continues to grow and improve providing the team with support and a solid effort in defence.
After a hard game the Tigers were down 2:11 but they never gave up, well done team.

Under-15 Orange v SYC
Orange earned a solid win in steady rain, with great linking passes coming out of the pack of players in the midfield.
Goalie Annie made some great saves, chasing the ball around the circle and running out to meet SYC’s attack.
Full back Abbie shot some out wide to the wings, picked up by Amity or Talon who made some good runs to push into the attacking circle.
Erin scored early in a great one-on-one with the goalie after a strong pass from Talon.
Positioning was everything, with Liam scoring after two rebounds off the goalie after a shot from Amity who’d received from Alida out wide on left wing.
Angus W used his speed and skill to score off a sweeping run across the backline, and also assist in Liam’s second goal.
The best goal of the season so far was Alida chipping the ball in high over the goalie into the top corner after a team run by Erin to Angus who pushed hard to Alida near the post to cement the 6:1 win.

Under-15 Black v Echuca
Benalla Black had a satisfying team win, triumphing 6:3 against a younger Echuca.
Angus H started the scoreboard with a nice pass from Kobe on the wing, and continued to outpace Echuca as centre forward.
Captain Jack played a skilful game, with great positioning in the circle to score behind the goalie off another pass from Kobe, and a third goal from a lovely run down the wing to the backline and across the goal post in behind the goalie again.
Steel also positioned well on the wing, and was unlucky not to score with at least one shot hitting the post.
Xavier again showed his strength at turning the ball over and setting up into the circle, assisting both Jack and Angus to score, and slotting one in himself off a cross hit from Jack.
Finn and Cael teamed up well as full backs, offering solid back-pass options as well as running forward to meet Echuca well before the circle, leaving goalie Alexander with only a few touches to deflect.
