Contractors will be replacing 16 power poles and about 2km of power lines as part of upgrades to the Essential Energy network in the southern Riverina.

Essential Energy has planned three power outages to ensure the safety of crews, the first of which was on Sunday, July 20.

The remaining outages will be on Sunday, August 3 and Sunday, August 24, conditions permitting.

Customers will be notified should any unforeseen circumstances prevent the works from taking place.

Customers affected by planned outages should receive Essential Energy’s outage notifications, confirming the dates and times of outages affecting them, via SMS, email or regular mail.

Customers are encouraged to contact their energy retailer to update or confirm their contact details.
