However, Baddaginnie local Rod Cook got his license some time ago.
Mr Cook recently had an opportunity to show off his pride and joy, an immaculate 1949 MG TC sports car, at a recent U3A Benalla, Car Torque group meeting.
Mr Cook gave others in the group an extensive run-down of the car’s history and restoration, explaining why he is so passionate about it.
“MG cars were first produced in 1924,” Mr Cook said.
“MG Morris garages were located in Abingdon, Oxfordshire in the UK.
“It produced 10,000 TCs, of which 2000 were exported to the US market.
“The MG TC was the first post-World War II model, produced between 1945-1949.”
Mr Cook purchased his TC in 2011, before spending the next 11 years restoring it to showroom quality.
Car Torque is a new program offered by U3A Benalla as part of its extensive 50-program menu, available to the Benalla community.
