The program provides participants with the skills and knowledge needed to becoming a strong leader in the community.
The program covers a range of skills and topics.
“Participants will learn about community leadership, communication approaches, public speaking, goal setting and monitoring, understanding community and diversity, reflection and resilience,” council director community Louise Mitchell said.
“They will also explore a topic to be decided by the course participants.”
Ms Mitchell is eager to get people involved in the program, saying it will help enhance leadership in the community.
“We hope that members of the community will take part in this great program and we look forward to seeing their leadership develop for the benefit of the community,” she said.
The program is aimed at adults and consists of seven fortnightly workshop sessions starting in March.
Applications close on Sunday, February 6.
