The NSW and Victorian winter school holidays are almost here and with it, parents are scratching their heads to figure out how to occupy their kids during the two-week break.
Luckily, there are plenty of local activities for primary school kids to get involved in from Monday, July 7, to Friday, July 18.
SchoolsOUT! is a before and after school care service that has tons of activities every day of the school holidays that aim not only to entertain, but also inform children about the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
SchoolsOut! has programs at Moama Anglican Grammar, Twin Rivers Primary School and Tongala Primary School which encompass excursions, incursions, base days and NAIDOC Week activities.
Below is a list of the activities on offer in each of the three areas, with prices and times included.
All prices are excluding Child Care Subsidy, once you have registered through Centrelink, approve your enrolment with SchoolsOut! through the myGov app to have subsidies apply.
Twin Rivers Primary School and Moama Anglican Grammar

Campaspe Libraries staff are welcoming families back to their winter School Holiday Program, running from Saturday, July 5 to Friday, July 18.

Saturday, July 5, 10.30am: family story time.
Monday, July 7, 10.30am: Silly heads. Create a funny face and turn it into a magnet. Bookings essential, for children ages five and above. 1pm: totems. Design your own totem or create one for the family. Bookings essential, for children ages five and above.
Tuesday, July 8, 10am to 5.30pm: Lego and games. Choose a game to play or build a Lego structure. Free play for all ages.
Wednesday, July 9, from 12.30pm: celebrate the Winter Blues weekend by coming along to paint and decorate your own blues guitar. $5 for one guitar, all proceeds raised go towards the festival. For ages five and above, bookings essential. Four sessions will be held.
Thursday, July 10, 11am: baby rhyme time for babies up to 18 months. 2pm: craft session with the team at Bunnings Echuca. Ages five and above, bookings essential.
Friday, July 11, 10.30am: story time for pre-school aged children. 2pm: family movie.
Monday, July 14, 10.30am: stocking monsters. Create a scary or friendly monster from coloured stockings. 2pm: family movie.
Tuesday, July 15, 10.30am: decorate a cup to make a holder for all your pens and pencils. Ages five and over, bookings essential. Noon to 5pm: Lego and games. Choose a game to play or build a Lego structure. Free play for all ages.
Wednesday, July 16, 1pm: write a message and decorate it in your own style – finishes as a standing decoration. Ages five and over, bookings essential. 5.30pm: family fun in the library with pizza, games and board games. Pizza available at $5 a person (adults included). Book at Echuca library and indicate your favourite pizza. All ages.
Thursday, July 17, 11am: baby rhyme time for babies up to 18 months. 2.30pm – CJ’s Puppets. Catchy lyrics, audience interaction and easy to learn dance moves are all combined to make this exploration of the world of music both an informative and very entertaining experience for all ages.
Friday, July 18, 10.30am: story time for pre-school aged children. 2pm: movie afternoon.
Tongala library
