The Bulldogs, perched in fifth spot with a 6-3-1 record, return to the courts following a stinging 21-goal defeat to Mooroopna.
Waiting for them in round 12 is undefeated Shepparton and, after a physical contest against the Cats, Tatura co-coach Elsie Boyer is hoping for a swift return to the Bulldogs’ brand.
“We’re looking to bounce back after a tough loss against Mooroopna,” Boyer said.
“Just to take on the physicality and play through it … I think we probably let it get to us on the weekend, which allowed the scoreline to blow out.
“We pride ourselves on using our speed and utilising the ball well; we're turning over lots of ball defensively, so I think we're showing some really great full-court defence.
“They’re some of the things we pride our game on and we didn't do a great job of that on the weekend, so we'll be looking to find those things again for Saturday.”
Tatura is set to welcome back key VNL utility Jasmine Fraser for the test and a win against Kim Borger’s Bears would be another positive sign for a side that Boyer said hadn’t fully hit its straps.
“(Shepparton) is a quality side,” she said.
“They've got some great experience, but I think it'll just be about putting together a full four-quarter performance.
“I don't think we've played our best netball yet, but I think that's kind of where you want to be building towards.
“And I think we're a team that wants to work really hard for each other.”
In other games, Shepparton United will be hoping to disturb the apple cart when it faces undefeated Euroa, a crucial clash for the Demons as they aim to leapfrog Shepparton Swans into sixth spot.
The Swans, coming off a disappointing fade out against the Bears, will be tipped to counteract that against 12th-placed Benalla, while Rochester will face up against Echuca in the hope of snapping a four-game losing run.
Mooroopna, fourth, hosts Mansfield, while Seymour plays Kyabram to round out the action on the netball courts.
