Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing Broadford man James, 44.

A man from Broadford has been reported missing.

James, 44, told his family he was going camping in the Mt Disappointment area, and was last seen leaving First St in Broadford on Thursday, June 19 at 10pm, police said.
The same night, the man was spotted at a service station in Wallan before being seen driving erratically north on the Hume Fwy in Tallarook at about 11.43pm.
Police said James’ mobile phone has since been located on the side of Broadford-Wandong Rd in Clonbinane.
James was last seen travelling in a grey Toyota Hilux utility with the registration 1JM3JY.

Police and family have concerns for his welfare due to his disappearance being out of character.
James is Caucasian in appearance and is approximately 182cm tall with short brown hair, a beard and a moustache.
James was last seen wearing a hi-vis work shirt, dark pants and a khaki and black hat.
Police said he is travelling in a grey Toyota Hilux utility with the registration 1JM3JY.
Anyone who sights James or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Wallan Police Station on 5783 0400.
