The house was originally built for Dr Adrian Kennedy and used as his surgery until it was sold to the RSL Sub Branch for use by ex-servicemen.
The large, centrally located building was recently restumped and attention has now turned to renovations to the interior of the magnificent property.
The front garden was given a significant makeover and three Sub Branch members established a new garden, with native species, on the Hume Street side.

President of Yarrawonga Mulwala RSL Sub Branch, Michael Hogan said they had a responsibility to maintain the important Yarrawonga landmark.
“We’re committed to bringing back this magnificent house to its former glory and providing Diggers with a place they can call their own,” Mr Hogan said.
Four units to the east of the RSL House, built in 1995, have been recently undergone renovation and are occupied by veterans.
