The park was named 'People’s Choice Caravan Park of the Year Award' at the association’s conference on the Gold Coast last week.
The ReviewPro Reputation People’s Choice Caravan Park of the Year Award is awarded based on consumer reviews submitted via the Review Pro platform.
It’s great recognition for the park and the staff who run it, who took some time to recover from the 2022 floods.
There’s also a relatively new team in charge, with managers Jamie and Judy joining the team in October last year, and most others joining the team in January this year.
Get connected
Looking for a way to become more connected with your community?
Deni Social Link is a group which brings people together in a relaxed and fun way, all with the intention of helping you meet new people.
The group was instigated to help newcomers to town get to know their new community.
But long time locals are getting just as much enjoyment and benefit from attending, forging new friendships and getting to know new residents.
The next Deni Social Link meet-up is tomorrow at Harry Pepper Coffee, at 115 End St, Deniliquin, from 10am.
It’s an informal gathering, so just pop down for a coffee and say ‘hello’.
If you would like some more information about the group, call 0472 678 621 or email denisociallink@gmail.com.
Health access by phone
With an increase in winter illnesses expected over the coming months, people across NSW are being reminded that free and instant health advice and treatment is available 24/7 by calling Healthdirect on 1800 022 222.
Last winter, nearly 20,000 people across NSW called Healthdirect seeking care for their cold and flu symptoms, almost double the number of people from 2023.
Of these, four in five people avoided an unnecessary trip to the emergency department, instead managing their symptoms at home with virtual care or through an appointment with a GP or at a local urgent care service.
When people call Healthdirect, a registered nurse will ask some questions about their health and provide the best guidance.
This may be to see a nearby doctor, pharmacist or urgent care service, connecting them with specialist virtual care, or calling an ambulance if it is life-threatening.
In an emergency, you should continue to call Triple Zero (000).
Farming Stronger workshop
Local farmers are being invited to participate in Farming Stronger - a practical, results-driven workshop designed to give farmers and service providers the science-backed strategies used by top performers to sustain energy, manage stress, and optimise their operations even in the toughest season.
The Irrigation Farmers Network is bringing the workshop to Deniliquin on June 4.
It will be held at the Deniliquin Golf Club from 10am to 2pm, and is free to attend.
Leading the workshop will be Cynthia Mahoney. She is an agricultural scientist with a passion for helping farmers and rural communities lead well, work smarter, and perform at their best.
