Running on the third weekend in May since 2001, the Finley APEX event attracted 1200 people in 2024.
It is a strictly BNS style black tie event, with the ticket price of $180 including live entertainment, camping, hot food and drinks and the recovery breakfast the following day .
Those attending the ball also receive a sticker, ear tag and stubby holder as keepsakes from the amazing weekend.
Finley APEX president Nathan Grimwood said the organisers are again expecting a big one.
Gates open this Friday 4pm, with plenty to keep campers entertained before the ball begins on Saturday evening. There will also be a recovery event on Sunday.
There will be live music both Friday and Saturday, as well as merchandise, clothing and food stalls throughout the weekend.
“On Friday we’ve got Connor Bulger, who’s been on Australian Idol.
“We’ve also got Jade Gibson providing music and hosting some activities from Saturday lunchtime.
“The ball will then start about 6pm to 6.30pm on Saturday night.”
Mr Grimwood said ticket sales are going well, and urged people to get in quick before they sell out.
“We’re selling 50 to 100 tickets a day, which is pretty good. We’ve got it capped at 1200 people, and I reckon we’ll hit that.”
The ball will offer five hours of live music from The Dusty Boots Podcast, Brook Chivell, Scarlet's Way, Jade Gibson and No Plans Band, and there will also be a DJ and car park games.
All profits from the ball are used by Finley APEX on various local projects.
Mr Grimwood urges all attendees to behave, and said there is to be strictly no ‘key banging’ on Friday night.
It is an 18 years plus event, with no glass or food dye allowed and no vehicle movement once on site. NSW road rules apply, and NSW Police will be present.
