In the lead-up to the 10th season of the AFLW, Carlton will run a community camp in Shepparton across June 2-3.
The location has not yet been announced.
This is the second year the AFLW will send all 18 clubs out to regional areas across Australia.
The program follows in the footsteps of the AFL community camps which have been running since 2003 and have had more than one million child participants.
AFL executive general manager of game development Rob Auld said the camps are a great opportunity to link regional and rural football fans with their heroes.
“Pre-season community camps have been an essential part of the AFL’s overall goal of engaging with local communities and growing the game from a grassroots level for more than two decades,” Auld said.
“It’s fantastic to now have the AFLW programs engaged in the same way, inspiring the next generation of young girls across Australia as the players travel to all corners of the country in the lead-up to celebrating the AFLW’s milestone 10th season.
“As women and girls participation continues to grow year on year and as we strive to reach one million participants by 2033, it’s more important than ever for our elite AFLW players to connect with local communities and new audiences.
“I’d like to thank all the clubs, players and staff involved in delivering the 2025 AFLW Community Camps.”
The AFLW season will begin on August 11.
Each club will play 12 games across 12 weeks before finals, with the grand final scheduled to be held on November 29.
The 2025 AFLW fixture will be released in the coming weeks.
