Following on from a successful first edition, Kyvalley’s Mother's Day High Tea will make a return on Friday, May 9, aiming to raise key funds for the local swimming pool and park.

From 10am, Kyvalley Hall will welcome guests to a charming morning filled with fragrant teas and homemade country delicacies, lovingly prepared by the Kyvalley Swimming Club committee.

Kyvalley Swimming Club president Stuart Williams said the high tea was a fundraiser to ensure operations continued for its volunteer group, which oversees the Kyvalley community park and pool.

“We fundraise throughout the year to keep the pool open for young people learning to swim,” he said.

Mr Williams said keeping the swimming pool open during hotter months also benefited those recovering from surgery or needing physiotherapy, as the pool allowed for effortless movement and provided a therapeutic environment.

The volunteer group is commemorating three decades of community service this year, with this event being one of many that members have pouring their hearts into to ensure 2025 becomes a landmark year in their storied history.

For just $30, attendees can indulge in a delightful high tea experience with their mums, while also receiving a lucky door ticket with the chance to win generous prizes.
