Shepparton East has continued its hot start to the Kyabram District League A-grade netball season, with the 2024 preliminary finalist moving in to top spot on the ladder at the end of round four.

With reigning premier Girgarre the only other side that remains undefeated in 2025, having the bye at the weekend, the Eagles swooped in to move into first for the time being with a 56-24 drubbing of Merrigum at Central Park Recreation Reserve.
Kate Durling and Lauren James were among the best for the Eagles in the 32-goal win, which comes ahead of a huge clash against last year’s runner-up Lancaster next weekend.

The Wombats are back in form with a big win of their own in round four too, bouncing back from a 40-goal thumping at the hands of Girgarre last weekend to account for Stanhope 50-35 away from home.
Rushworth improved to 2-1 for the year with a big 56-36 win over Undera at Rushworth Recreation Reserve, with the Lions falling to 2-2 after the loss, while Murchison-Toolamba is on the board in 2025 after eclipsing Violet Town 44-39, both sides moving to 1-3 records following the clash.
Tallygaroopna ousted Longwood 32-22 at Longwood Recreation Reserve in the last of Saturday’s games, with Tallygaroopna improving to 3-1 for the year, while Longwood remains winless to start the season.
Avenel and Nagambie faced off against each other in round four also, with the local rivalry taking place on Sunday afternoon, although a result was not yet available at the time of print.
