It’s season starts Saturday, October 26 with numerous events marking the start of an exciting summer of racing in Rushworth.
The speedway will host an event every month up until May 2025, including the GP Midgets iron bark classic on Saturday, November 23 and the VMPA modified series round on Saturday, December 14 to round out 2024 before a break for Christmas and new year.
Thursday, January 11 will see the Goulburn Ovens Sedans association Colin Young memorial round two be held at the speedway along with other events.
The GP Midgets Victorian Title will headline the Saturday, February 15 meeting that will cap off the summer.
Rushworth Speedway will have two meetings in each of March, April and May to see out the season which wraps up on Friday, May 24.
Rushworth Speedway Club president Phillip Lamb said that everyone involved was excited to get the season under way, particularly as they have made $30,000 worth of upgrades to the track.
“We have 11 shows this year and everyone is very excited to get out on the track and start racing,” he said.
“We have spent the off-season since July installing a $30,000 crash fence to make sure we are bringing up the track to standard and is ready for a big summer.
“Everyone really looks forward to returning after a lengthy off-season, and we are all thrilled to be back racing.”
