Rochester students shine at Campaspe carnival

ON THURSDAY, February 25, students from Rochester Primary School travelled to Echuca to compete in the Campaspe Swimming Carnival.

The carnival involved the best swimmers from Echuca, Lockington and Kyabram schools.

Students with the best time in their event go on to compete in the regional swimming finals in Swan Hill.

The Rochester students competed hard, with many of the children competing in events that were outside their comfort zone and stepping up into older events just to help out the team and give others an extra swim.

The determination and effort the children showed throughout the day was fantastic and is something the school is very proud of.

It was fantastic to see how many ribbons the students had won for the day.

A big thanks to Casey James, Meredith Hodder and Rachel Major.
