The photography skills of local creatives were recognised at the Finley and District Camera Club's annual awards ceremony.Barooga's Valerie Lee's entry in the the Best Black and White Print Section, ‘Never Alone’, won the coveted Max Pascoe Trophy for the 2020 Best Of What You've Got.
Second in the best black and white print section was awarded to Cris Filshie of Yarrawonga with ‘Sky Garden'.
The awards were held at the Tocumwal RSL hall on January 14.The Best Colour Print winner was Cobram's Annette Stillard with ‘Foggy River’ and second place was awarded to Tocumwal's Maureen Arthur for her work ‘Galah'.
Maureen Arthur also won the Ron Cooper Shield for the Best Audio Visual Presentation.
The Highest Aggregate Open Advanced Photographer Award from Rae Bush Cobram was awarded to Lalalty's Shirley Coldwell and Yarrawonga's Cris Filshie.
Cobram photographers took home the Peter Walton Best Novice Exhibitor Shield, with Lisa Walkerden first, Irene Dutenall second and Kerry and Richard Lazzarotto third.
Judging of the audio visual was announced via Zoom by Australian Photography Judges Association vice-president and training director Gary Smith.
Benalla's Rene Martens won the 2020 Rural Aboriginal Health Care Victoria Photographic Competition with a ‘Fog and Sheep’ print.
Meetings are held every second Thursday of each month at a Barooga venue or via Zoom.
