Halle Berry has detailed why she quit Ryan Murphy's new TV legal drama All's Fair, which stars Kim Kardashian and Glenn Close.
The 57-year-old Hollywood star was set for a leading role before it was revealed last month she had decided to step down.
Reflecting on her departure, Berry told Entertainment Tonight: "You know, things happen for a reason. (But) I would have loved to have been there with those ladies, and I know it's gonna be great."
Last month, Variety reported Berry had "bowed out of the show due to a scheduling conflict".
She had also been attached to executive produce but will no longer be attached to the show in any capacity.
The series is set to focus on an all-female law firm in Los Angeles, while specific details regarding Berry's planned character had been kept under wraps.
Murphy will write, direct and executive produce the project, which is the first series announced under his new Disney deal after a Netflix agreement came to an end.
