Dropped out of the Dragons NRL team last week, Ravalawa was sent off with three minutes to go in Friday night's 18-14 NSW Cup loss to Parramatta.
The Fijian winger was furious after believing there had been a knock on in the lead up to the Eels' match-winning try, which came from a fumbled kick.
Ravalawa is understood to have turned around and sworn twice at the touch judge after the try was awarded, before being sent from the field.
"I apologised after the game," Ravalawa said outside of WIN Stadium.
"It was not professional and I'm sorry."
Ravalawa will face a nervous wait until the NSW Rugby League hand down their charge sheet on Monday to find out if he faces further sanction.
Any ban could potentially hurt his chances of returning to the Dragons' NRL side, with changes unlikely given they flogged Wests Tigers 56-14 on Friday night.
The 26-year-old has scored 67 tries in 96 games for the NRL club, but appears to be on the outer under coach Shane Flanagan.
He was axed after their loss to Canterbury a fortnight ago, despite the club already missing two other first-choice backs in Zac Lomax and Jack Bird last week.
At the very least, Sione Finau appears ahead of him in the pecking order for the backline, while Christian Tuipulotu has also played first grade this year.
Ravalawa is contracted to the Dragons until the end of next year.
