Australian author Glenna Thomson will be welcomed by the Shepparton Library to discuss her latest book, Gone.
The novel, which centres around the shocking disappearance of Rebecca Bundy in 1984, is described as a captivating story that delves deep into the complexities of grief, resilience and the enduring bonds of family.
When a shocking murder-suicide at a local farm diverts police attention and pushes Rebecca’s disappearance into the shadows, one person refuses to let her memory fade — her younger sister, Eliza.
For 40 years, Eliza relentlessly pursues answers about her sister’s whereabouts in a heartbreaking, personal mystery.
Ms Thomson and her husband spent almost 20 years living and working on their cattle property in rural Victoria.
Although Ms Thomson now lives in inner Melbourne with her husband, she believes her time in the country enabled her to write authentically about life in remote locations such as the one featured in Gone.
She is also the author of Blueberry and Stella and Margie.
If you would like to meet Ms Thomson and hear her speak about her latest book, she will be at the Shepparton Library on Wednesday, March 20 at 2pm.
Copies of Gone will be available to buy at the event.
