The Kyabram District League club announced the re-signing of Steve Lawlor as coach last week as preparations ramp up for the 2021 season.
It will be Lawlor's third season in charge at the kennel.
Bulldogs president Aaron Moor said the club was pleased to reappoint the 2017 reserves premiership coach.
“The club was really happy to have ‘Box’ (Steve) stay on as coach for next year,” Moor said.
“I know all the players and the footy department were happy with the news. Steve has got a fantastic relationship with all the players and the entire club really.
“He has been a hard-working clubman for a long time now and everyone is excited to have him coach again.”
Since Lawlor took over the role in 2018, the Bulldogs have finished seventh and eighth — but missed out on a finals appearance last year due to percentage.
Looking ahead to next season, Moor revealed the club would welcome "two or three new faces" to the senior side.
But bringing in a plethora of new players is not the main aim at the kennel.
“Retaining our core group of seniors has been a big focus of Steve's,” Moor said.
“But we do have a couple of recruits coming in which is exciting and hopefully we are able to welcome a couple more.”
The Bulldogs also announced the reappointment of its reserves and thirds coach for 2021, with John Mathewson and Dylan Rowney to steer the respective sides.
“The committee was really happy to have those guys return after we missed out on footy this year,” Moor said.
“It's great to have that consistency in our coaching line-up.”
● In other KDFNL news, Tallygaroopna has welcomed back Nathan Kerr to the club.
The versatile utility returns to the club after spending time away at Deniliquin Rovers.
And joining Kerr at the Redlegs is smart on-baller Joel Kimberley, who bolsters an already classy midfield brigade at Tally.
● Lastly, Rennie export Daniel Howe has inked a new deal to remain at Hawthorn for next season.
The talented defender has played 67 games in the brown and gold since he was taken at pick 31 in the 2014 National Draft.
The 24-year-old managed five games in the 2020 season due to injuries.
