Spanish top tier club Villarreal, known as "the yellow submarine" have been sunk by third-division Unionistas in a Copa del Rey match played over two days due to a power cut.Â
The third-round match was suspended at 1-1 before the start of extra time on Sunday. It resumed on Monday with extra time in which neither team scored. Unionistas won 7-6 in the shootout to reach the round of 16.
The only other top-flight club to lose to a lower-division club in this round were Las Palmas, beaten by Canary Islands rivals Tenerife on Sunday.
Defending champion Real Madrid advanced past fourth division Arandina 3-1.
