Homicide probe following fatal shooting

Emergency services performed CPR but he died at the scene.

Authorities have not yet released any identifying information about the man.

Police are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A crime scene has been set up around the area he was found, at a housing estate about 50 kilometres north of Melbourne's CBD.

Any witnesses, people with information or footage from the area at the time have been urged to contact investigators.
