New appointees: Greater Shepparton City Council’s heritage advisory body has three new members.

Council has made three new appointments to its heritage advisory committee.

The appointments were confirmed at council’s November meeting.

John Dainton, Jenny Nightingale and Jill Muir have been appointed to the committee for two-year terms, which commenced on December 1 and will conclude on December 1, 2025.

Established in 2012, the Greater Shepparton Heritage Advisory Committee advocates for all cultural heritage matters within the municipality, provides advice on conserving and promoting the region’s cultural heritage and raises awareness among the community.

The committee’s membership consists of up to two councillors, up to two members of council’s strategic planning team, council’s heritage adviser, one voting member from each of 10 identified member organisations, and a minimum of two and a maximum of six community representatives unaffiliated with any of those organisations.
