Rochester Secondary College student Charlotte Gould was awarded the dux of the school.
After a tumultuous year, Charlotte is proud of herself and her fellow students.
“This Year 12 cohort should be extremely proud of themselves. What they have all achieved is incredible,” she said.
“To make it to the end of Year 12 is an outstanding achievement already, but to add the pressure of what we have gone through shows this group’s resilience and perseverance.
“It’s been a community effort to get us where we are so fortunate to have such an incredible support crew around us.”
Charlotte said incredible staff members were there to ensure all students received the right advice in uncertain times of the year.
“Mr Huddy and other staff at the school have done a power of work, especially in the last week, to support each of us and I am so grateful for that,” she said.
Charlotte has received an offer and will study commerce and psychological science at Australian Catholic University in 2024.
