Doutta Galla Harmony Village has celebrated its 26th birthday.

On Thursday, November 30, residents and staff gathered at the home to celebrate another year with lots of cake and live music.

Lifestyle co-ordinator Samantha Young said the celebrations were a big hit with residents and staff.

“It went really well,” she said.

The residents joined the staff for an afternoon of celebrations, with live entertainment from musician Michael Hogan.

“We’ve had staff who have worked here for over 20 years,” Ms Young said.

“We become each other’s family.

“The residents enjoyed the day, with lots of entertainment and music.

“We’re looking forward to another 26 years.”

The News photographer Rechelle Zammitt was there to capture some of the moments from the celebration.
