An interactive map with the locations of refund points is now live at cdsvic.org.au
The state government said hundreds of refund points are ready to open across Victoria, and more will open in the coming weeks and throughout 2024.
Residents have four options when it comes to refunds - they can collect a voucher to spend at participating stores, they can receive cash, opt to donate their refund to a charity or community organisation, or receive an electronic payment through an app.
At this stage there is not a recognised depot located in Echuca.
But Tongala, Rochester and Cohuna are all within close proximity when it comes to refund points.
In Tongala, Simmons Recycling, located at 4 Greiner Ct, will be operating an over the counter service.
Once in operation, it will be open from 9am-4pm on weekdays and from 9am-2pm on weekends.
In Rochester, Twist and Sprout, located at 62 Mackay St, will be the location for an over the counter service.
Once in operation it will be open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am-4pm and 9am-12 noon on Saturday.
It will be closed on Sundays and Mondays.
In Cohuna, Cohuna Neighbourhood House, located at 29 Market St, will be operating an over the counter service.
Once in operation it will be open at the following times: 10am-3pm (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday), 10am-5pm (Wednesday and Friday), 9am-1pm (Saturday and Sunday).

“We always said ahead of the scheme kicking off on November 1 that we would make the first tranche of sites available and that is now available through the website,” Premier Jacinta Allan said.
"The whole purpose of the scheme... is to make sure that we are driving down the rates of litter (and) increasing the rate of materials that go into our recycling system.
"And there's that added benefit of putting money into people's pockets."
All depots in the north zone, which includes the likes of Campaspe, Gannawarra, Moira, Greater Shepparton and Swan Hill are operated by Visy.
