The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index on Thursday finished down 5.5 points, or 0.08 per cent, at 7,024.8, while the broader All Ordinaries dropped 7.3 points, or 0.1 per cent, to 7,222.5.
The Australian dollar was buying 63.71 US cents, from 73.82 US cents at Wednesday's ASX close.
