Is there a better feeling than watching a horse you train win at one of the most recognisable tracks in the state?
Former Seymour Racing Club chief executive Penny Reeve had that winning feeling as her horse Under The Rock crossed the line first at Pakenham on August 24.
The 1600m race was a close one, but Under The Rock, ridden by Liam Riordan, was able to finish ahead of the pack by 0.1 length.
Despite stepping away from the Seymour Racing Club, Reeve continues to be involved in the racing scene and trains horses in Seymour.
To witness Reeve’s and other local trainers’ horses take to track, the Seymour Racing Club is the place to visit, with the next meeting on Friday, September 1.
