Over here: Mia Thomson was part of Kyabram Netball Association’s Under-11 team which contested the annual tournament alongside almost 50 teams at the Northern Oval courts on Sunday. The team will next contest the Golden City Primary Tournament in July.
Catch and release: Marley Vernon looks to send the ball into the KNA Under-11 representative team’s front third in her role as a team defender. The team played six games against Tocumwal and Tocumwal (twice each), Echuca and Mooroopna. They won four games, drew one and lost one, and were coached by Kath McIntosh.
Rep team: Girgarre’s Darcy O’Neill was part of the Kyabram district league’s under-15 team. The 15 and under competition was won by Echuca Navy, which beat Deniliquin in the final 12-5. The KDL also contested the under-17 tournament, which was won by Mansfield 15-10 in a final against Castlemaine.
