An overwhelming number of customers attended the Deniliquin Pastoral Times’ first ever Biggest Morning Tea stall, some even arriving before the scheduled start time.
They came with their pooches, some had orders from their staff to deliver a delicious morning tea and others were passing by and joined in the fun.
The Pastoral Times staff had been busy baking the evening prior.
We also received some generous donations from businesses to put on a fantastic array of goodies that almost sold out.
The morning raised more than $800 for the Cancer Council NSW and, due to the success of the day, we expect to be back with another stall next year.
“We cannot thank the community enough for the overwhelming support that we received with our stall,” Pastoral Times general manager Leesa Muir said.
“The team had a wonderful opportunity to engage with our community, and they all had such a great time.
“We look forward to doing it again next year.”
The Pastoral Times would like to thank the community for their support, and Baker’s Delight, Josh’s Bakehouse, Coles Deniliquin, and Party, Pack and Wrap and Deniliquin Florist for their generous donations.
The community will have another opportunity to support the Cancer Council NSW with another Biggest Morning Tea in the Deniliquin CBD this Friday.
Denise Phillips and her friends will be back with their annual morning tea outside My Shop in Napier St.
Stop by between 10am and noon, make a donation and sample the delicious treats on offer.
Tables and chairs will be set up outside the shop where you can sit, taste and chat away.
